Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a fast-paced, multi-service-line operating room requiring a minimum of 4 years of OR travel experience and subspecialty proficiency across Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics.

• Hospital operating room setting serving a broad range of surgical service lines including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• On-call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice and to Outpatient as needed
• 15-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; copies of all certifications required for consideration
• Minimum 4 years of OR experience prior to travel required
• Subspecialty experience required in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
• No holiday RTO will be approved if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Blackout dates with no RTO approved: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted day shift is firm
• Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates will undergo a clinical review process to assess fit prior to manager consideration
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; delays may result in a two-week start pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
