Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring telemetry experience and a valid KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a Level 1 academic teaching hospital
• Patient population includes trauma surgical and abdominal transplant patients
• Experience with wound care, fracture care, post-surgical care, traction, and patient mobility is preferred
• Familiarity with drips such as insulin and heparin required
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience with trauma surgical and/or abdominal transplant patient populations required
• Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma center, teaching facility, or high-volume facility required
• Telemetry experience required
• Clean licensure history required — no licensure hits will be accepted
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requested after submission will not be approved
