Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a weekend night shift position at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital in a large acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 1,259 staffed beds in an academic teaching environment designated as a Level I Trauma Center
• Inpatient and outpatient CT setting with high-complexity cases
• Required procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Preferred procedures include aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
• All Siemens scanners in use; Siemens experience preferred
• Charting via Epic
• Friday through Sunday, 3x12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend-only position; no on-call required
• May float within clinical scope per facility policy; no floating to sister facilities required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT (CT) certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Valid MO State License required; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (must be noted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with PACS and contrast administration required
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
• Level I Trauma or large acute care hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV starts, portables, and biopsies preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub colors are black, red, or white
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility in this health system as a traveler
• Allied travelers may remain on assignment for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
• Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this position
