Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel assignment requiring prior travel experience and heart and vascular expertise.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18+), with vascular and cardiac cases
• Procedures include LVAD, temporary pacers, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP); ECMO is not performed on this unit
• Wire and supplies experience required for vascular and cardiac procedures
• Staff-to-patient ratio of 4 staff per 1 patient (per procedure)
• 8-hour day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Call required 1–2 days per week from 3:30 PM–7:00 AM, plus every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM) and holidays
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active MS RN license or compact RN license currently on file
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Heart and vascular experience with wire and supplies required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• References covering the last year of employment from a leadership role (e.g., nurse manager) required for consideration; if employed at multiple facilities in the past year, a reference from each is required

Additional Information

• Very busy and fast-paced unit
• Scrub experience is preferred but not required
• Holiday call coverage is required
• Orientation can begin any day of the week
