Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down/Med-Surg Telemetry position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience and the flexibility to float within skill set across multiple sites.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, assigned to a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on greatest need at time of placement
• Unit 7E (Med Surg) with potential placement on a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit depending on traveler skill set
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating required within skill set onsite or to facilities within 40 miles
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, or Acute Care experience required
• Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Both Med-Surg and Step Down RNs are eligible to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both skill sets
• Unit placement (PCU vs. Med-Surg/Tele) will be determined based on staffing needs and traveler skills at time of assignment
• Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect the travel pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
