Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) PCU position requiring MS/Tele experience within the last year and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting with a high-acuity patient population
• PCU unit caring for med-surg type through ventilator-dependent patients, including post-open heart surgery, cystic fibrosis, vent weaning, pulmonary fibrosis, and high-volume sepsis patients with wound complications
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every third weekend required, equating to approximately 8 weekend shifts per contract
• Floating required
• Self-scheduling available
• Charts using Epic EMR
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required; pending license considered if active and in hand prior to start
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• MS/Telemetry experience within the last year required
• BSN preferred
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center facility
• ICU nurses are frequently floated to the LTACH unit due to the higher acuity of the patient population
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate; candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify as local
