Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Step-Down position requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of one year of nursing experience, working night shifts at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Illinois.

Details

Cardiovascular ICU and Step-Down unit in a hospital setting
Patient population includes post-op CABG, vascular surgery, and ICU-status patients
13-week contract with 36 hours per week
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts)
Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

Responsibilities include direct patient care, initial assessments, care plan development and modification, hourly rounding, and accurate nursing documentation
Candidates with a history of continuous assignment at this health system exceeding one year must complete a 6-month break in service before returning
RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
Maintains unit-based and hospital competencies and a clean work environment
