Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) department
• Department has 3 CT scanners, including 1 GE REV CT and 2 GE REV HD units
• All routine CT exams performed for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients, including cardiac CT, biopsy/drain procedures, and cryo/microwave ablations
• Department averages 65–70 scans in a 24-hour period across 3 scanners
• Occasional float to X-ray for ED, inpatient, and outpatient X-ray coverage
• IV insertion skills are very helpful for working with outpatient cases
• EMR: Epic | PACS: SECTRA
• 4x10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement varies depending on assigned shift; some positions require every weekend, others every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required if a scheduled shift falls on a holiday
• Optional call with a 45-minute response time

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Must be able to perform all routine CT exams as well as trauma imaging
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required; pending certifications are not accepted
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Epic EMR experience
• Radiation badge required prior to starting the assignment
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs all routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients, including cardiac CT, biopsy/drain procedures, and cryo/microwave ablations
• Department is supported by both an imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead techs
• Radiologist is on site 24/7
• Department orientation is typically the first three days of the assignment
• Schedule is posted at least 2 weeks in advance
• Any color of professional-looking scrubs is acceptable; hospital scrubs are only provided for OR staff
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• A phone interview with the unit manager will be conducted as part of the selection process
