Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute rehabilitation assignment at a major academic medical center in Washington, DC.

Details

• Position is located in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) of a large academic medical center in Washington, DC
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC OT license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a US hospital setting required
• Bachelor's degree from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master's degree highly desired
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• US SSN required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized, age-appropriate plans of care based on physician referrals
• Administer and document patient treatment accurately in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
• Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care
• Must demonstrate adaptability and responsiveness to new and changing work assignments
