Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IMC/Stepdown (Intermediate Care) position requiring prior travel experience, ED boarding care experience, and passage of an EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam.

Details

• Intermediate Care (IMC)/Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for admitted patients with varying diagnoses who are boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating is required

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• ED boarding experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides care to admitted patients boarding in the ED with varying diagnoses while awaiting placement on an inpatient unit
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of initial application
