Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring CRRT experience and high-acuity critical care skills in a Louisiana facility.
Details
- Medical ICU (MICU) in an acute care hospital setting
- High-acuity patient population including COVID care and patients requiring pronation therapy
- Specialized procedures include pronation therapy and vasopressor titrations
- CRRT dialysis equipment is used on this unit
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Float requirement applies to this position
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
Requirements
- Active Louisiana RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
- CRRT experience required
- High-acuity critical care nursing experience required
- CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign travelers to an Emergency Team, which may require remaining at the facility during or after an emergency event or serving on a relief team
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- 11-week contract duration
