Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring CRRT experience and high-acuity critical care skills in a Louisiana facility.

Details

• Medical ICU (MICU) in an acute care hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population including COVID care and patients requiring pronation therapy
• Specialized procedures include pronation therapy and vasopressor titrations
• CRRT dialysis equipment is used on this unit
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Float requirement applies to this position
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted

Requirements

• Active Louisiana RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
• CRRT experience required
• High-acuity critical care nursing experience required
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign travelers to an Emergency Team, which may require remaining at the facility during or after an emergency event or serving on a relief team
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• 11-week contract duration
