Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU (NCCU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- 13-week contract
- Work in a Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) within a large academic hospital setting (500+ beds)
- Patient population includes severe brain injury, stroke, brain tumors, and post-operative neurosurgical cases requiring complex neurological and multi-organ system management
- Floating required to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC
- 3 of every 6 weekends required
- 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Epic EMR used; experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact)
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred; Critical Care Certification and trauma course preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required
- Experience in a comparable large hospital setting (500+ bed facility) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides critical care to neurologically complex patients including those with stroke, brain tumors, nerve and muscle diseases, and post-operative neurosurgical needs
- Care requires the ability to manage interactions between the brain and other vital organ systems
- Orientation scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
