Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in Clyde, NC, requiring 1-2 years of experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 13-week travel contract at a 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited community hospital located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville
• Medical/Surgical Combination unit with 39 beds serving an adult and geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses include fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
• Patient ratio is approximately 4:1
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required on weekends
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Paragon

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; submit copies of all applicable certifications)
• 1-2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• The facility is a Duke LifePoint Hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, behavioral health, and a Chest Pain Center
• Located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with easy access to Asheville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and Greenville
