Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic in Charlotte, NC, with at least 2 years of experience and proficiency with C-arm imaging.
Details
- Outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic with one x-ray room and one injection room
- Patient population includes adults and pediatric patients presenting primarily with spine and head conditions, including scoliosis series, shunt series, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine imaging
- Averages approximately 60 imaging patients per day, with around 30 injection patients
- No sedation administered on this unit
- Equipment includes Shimadzu x-ray, GE OEC C-arm, and Intellaspace PACS
- EMR is Epic; experience preferred
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation, no on-call requirements
- Facility is closed on holidays
- Floating to other campus locations is possible but will be very rare; management will typically accommodate travelers who are not comfortable floating
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology, with most recent experience within the last year
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- Active state license required, if applicable
- Proficiency with C-arm required
- Experience with spine, head, and pediatric imaging
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing x-ray and fluoroscopy-assisted injection imaging, creating patient CDs, and assisting with other administrative office tasks as needed
- Team includes RNs, CNAs, front desk staff, and typically 3 imaging techs on shift, with 1 provider in the injection suite and 10–12 providers throughout the clinic
- Approximately 1 week of orientation provided
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
- RTO requests must be approved by the manager
- Black scrubs required
