Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic, requiring at least 2 years of experience and proficiency with C-arm and spine imaging procedures.

Details

• Outpatient neurosurgery and neurology clinic setting with one X-ray room and one injection room
• Patient population includes adults and pediatrics with a focus on spine and head imaging (scoliosis series, shunt series, neck, cervical/thoracic/lumbar spines)
• Averages approximately 60 imaging patients per day, with roughly 30 receiving injections; no sedation involved
• Procedures include outpatient imaging and injections; shunt series training can be provided on site
• Equipment includes Shimadzu X-ray, GE OEC C-arm, and Intellaspace PACS
• EMR: Epic
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
• Facility is closed on holidays
• Floating to other campuses is possible but will be very rare; staff members can typically cover floating if the candidate is not comfortable

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Radiology Tech experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• Experience with C-arm operation required
• Experience with spine/head imaging including scoliosis series, cervical/thoracic/lumbar spines, and pediatric patients
• License required if applicable
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging and assist with injection procedures in a fast-paced outpatient environment
• Additional duties include administrative tasks such as creating patient imaging CDs
• Department team includes RNs, CNAs, front desk staff, typically 3 imaging techs, and 10–12 providers in the clinic with 1 provider dedicated to the injection suite
• Orientation is approximately 1 week

• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
