Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring a valid MO or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 110 staffed beds
• Medical/Surgical unit serving a general medical and surgical patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30)
• Every third weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation based on department needs
• Floating required to other units including surgical and telemetry, as well as to a sister campus as needed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Some initial orientation sessions will occur on weekdays due to class availability
• No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation; no more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract
• Light gray/silver scrubs required
• Free parking available on-site
• Chemotherapy administration and charge nurse experience are preferred skills
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain for up to 18 months before requiring a 3-month break in service
