Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital in St. Louis, MO, working 3x12-hour weekend day shifts.

Details

• Work in a small MRI department at a short-term acute care hospital with 2 scanners: Siemens Vida 3T and Siemens 1.5T
• Patient population includes a high volume of geriatric and obese patients
• Approximate daily caseload of 12–20 exams per tech
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• One weeknight call per week and rotating weekend call required
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 3rd or 4th Saturday
• Charting done in Epic and Sectra
• May float within scope to a sister facility in the St. Louis, MO area

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience required
• Current BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced Certification required
• Valid MO State License required; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (please note this when applying)
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work with geriatric and obese patient populations

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for a maximum of 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Scrub color is pewter
