Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) position at a large academic medical center in Vermont, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Miller 4 unit (PCU/Telemetry) at a large academic teaching facility
  • Cardiology-focused patient population including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart patients
  • 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights), Monday through Sunday
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required to M/S or other Progressive Care Areas within the Central Pool PCU; travelers float first
  • Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years is required
  • 16-week assignment
  • Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays

Requirements

  • Active VT or Compact RN license required; NY candidates will be considered with proof of a pending NY license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Prior experience in a large, academic teaching facility required
  • Cardiology experience including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart patients required
  • Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April

Additional Information

  • Provide intermediate progressive care nursing to cardiology patients, including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart cases
  • Must be flexible with scheduling; block schedules are not permitted
  • This is an interview-to-offer (IVS) position
  • This facility is strict about submission completeness; all work history must include bed count, EMR, and facility type, with all employment gaps over 30 days explained
