Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 10-week outpatient assignment in Moncks Corner, SC, requiring ARRT registration and an active SC or compact license.

Details

• Outpatient imaging setting at a medical plaza
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week)
• 2–3 call shifts every 6 weeks
• May float to sister facilities as needed
• Charting in Cerner

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT CT registration preferred
• Active SC or compact state license required (license required if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
• Proficiency in CT imaging and ability to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift/move patients frequently; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs intermittently
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

• Performs CT scans of designated anatomical areas per physician orders under radiologist supervision
• Assists radiologists during procedures and may supervise student radiologic technologists
• Instructs and prepares patients for imaging procedures, including obtaining informed consent as needed
• Communicates procedure details and discharge instructions to patients and family members
• Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and adheres to DHEC and TJC guidelines
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations is expected
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
