Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital CT department, requiring ARRT registration and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department setting
• Weekend-only work schedule (Friday–Sunday), 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• 2–3 call shifts required every 6 weeks
• May float to sister hospital facilities as needed
• Charting in Cerner

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT (CT) preferred
• Active SC or compact state license required (if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• ARRT (CT) registration preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, and lift/move patients; must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs intermittently
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas per physician orders, following established protocols under radiologist supervision
• Assist radiologists during procedures and provide clinical supervision to student radiologic technologists
• Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures, including age-appropriate care and obtaining correct procedure orders
• Communicate with patients and family members regarding procedures and discharge instructions, and ensure informed consent is obtained as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the system
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and maintain current licensure requirements
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
