Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT registration and active BLS certification for a 12-week travel contract working weekend night shifts with float responsibilities.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department setting
- Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (night shifts)
- 2–3 on-call shifts every 6 weeks
- May float to sister facilities as needed
- Charting in Cerner
Requirements
- ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT registration in CT preferred
- Active SC or compact state license required (license required if applicable)
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
Additional Information
- Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas under the medical supervision of radiologists, following established protocols
- Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures using age-appropriate care
- Assists radiologists on procedures and helps supervise student Radiologic Technologists
- Instructs and prepares patients for imaging procedures and communicates with family members as needed
- Adheres to ALARA radiation safety principles and follows DHEC, TJC, OSHA, and FDA standards
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting and moving patients, and intermittent lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
