Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend-shift contract role requiring ARRT registration, AHA BLS certification, and Cerner EMR experience.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department setting
• Weekend shifts only: Friday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• 12-week contract
• 2–3 on-call shifts every 6 weeks
• May float to sister/nearby facilities as needed
• Charting via Cerner

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT CT specialty registration preferred
• Active SC or compact state license required (if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging of designated anatomical areas under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
• Assist radiologists during procedures and provide supervision and clinical education to student radiologic technologists
• Responsible for patient preparation, obtaining correct orders, and ensuring patients understand procedures prior to imaging
• Communicate with radiologists and clinical staff verbally and in writing, maintaining a professional demeanor
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols in accordance with ALARA principles and applicable DHEC and TJC guidelines
• Frequent standing, walking, and patient lifting/moving required; must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs intermittently
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, radiation, and other healthcare environment conditions is expected
• Travelers who have previously been on assignment at this facility may return after a mandatory 30–60 day break, once the one-year cumulative assignment limit has been reached
