Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an ambulatory operating room position requiring a SC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Details

Ambulatory operating room setting with 9 ORs
Day shift schedule available as either 3x12s (6:30a–7:00p) or 4x10s (6:30a–5:00p)
One late week per 4-week period required to complete cases
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
Floating within the perioperative facility is a possibility
EMR: Epic
Preferred specialty experience includes Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology

Requirements

Active SC RN license or compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be active prior to start
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
NBSTSA certification required
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Radiation badge required (must be provided by the staffing agency)

Additional Information

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
Completion of online modules is required prior to the start of the assignment
May be required to precept a care team member in the operating room
During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
