Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Charge RN position in Rochester, NY, requiring Epic proficiency and prior MedSurg leadership experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• 4x10-hour shifts available on days (7:00–17:00) or nights (19:00–5:00), with an optional 5x8 schedule
• Some weekend shifts required
• No floating required
• Epic EMR required for charting
• Charge RN responsibilities every shift

Requirements

• Active NY RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Recent MedSurg leadership experience within the past year required
• Experience with staff scheduling and coaching required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

• Serves as charge nurse every shift, providing leadership and oversight to the Med/Surg Tele unit
• Responsibilities include staff scheduling and coaching in addition to direct patient care duties
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
