Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience, an active RN license, and AHA-issued BLS and NRP certifications.

Details

• NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) setting within a hospital
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour day shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, and evaluating nursing care
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to neonatal patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Interacts with patients' families to communicate care plans, discharge instructions, and hospital procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to return
