Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/Step-down position in Pontiac, MI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Details

• Works in a combined Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Step-down (SDU) setting within an Intermediate Intensive Care Unit
• Cares for critically ill patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric populations
• Patient diagnoses include medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical cases
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Frequent floating to the Step-down unit is expected

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required — LARA and Nursys verification required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and delivering care to critically ill patients
• May supervise CNAs, SNAs, LPNs, or other assigned healthcare workers
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this contract
• Current full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for this position within six months of their employment
