Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Ortho/Trauma unit position requiring ortho experience, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Work in a 31-bed Med/Surg Ortho/Trauma unit (5WE)
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4-6; occasional rehab patients awaiting bed placement may be included in assignment
• Floating required to like units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Proof of address required for consideration (valid driver's license, voter registration card, federal tax return, military Form 2058, or W2 from US government)
• SSN and date of birth (MM/DD) required for consideration
• 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Responsibilities include complete patient assessments, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and medication administration
• Serves as a point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and as a patient safety and advocacy resource
• Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
