Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with recent critical care experience for a night shift travel assignment at a 396-bed hospital in Florence, SC.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating within scope to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery, is required
- No floating to sister facilities
- No on-call requirement
- Charting performed in Epic
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRTs will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with recent critical care experience
- SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required and must be in hand at time of start
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be in hand at time of start
- Epic EMR experience
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- SC RCP license required if applicable
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- 13-week assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is subject to facility needs
- Online modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
