Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, working a Friday–Sunday day shift schedule across Mobile and Main MRI units.

Details

Work setting is an 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
Fridays are split-shift: Mobile MRI Tech until 5:00 PM, then Main MRI Tech from 5:00 PM to end of shift
Saturdays and Sundays are worked as Main MRI Tech
Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Holiday coverage is required if holidays fall on a scheduled shift
No on-call requirement
Charting is performed in Epic
Siemens MRI equipment experience is required for this role

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license required if applicable
Siemens MRI equipment experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Teal top and black bottom scrubs are required
Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 parking pass payment
Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
All travelers are assigned to the facility's emergency response team; hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August and September
