Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Medical unit position requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications.

• Night shift schedule
• 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, and clinical techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing nursing care to pediatric patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Duties include monitoring and documenting patient physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and assisting with diagnostic procedures
• Collaborates with physicians, patients, and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks)
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance
