Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality for a 13-week night shift contract in a freestanding emergency department, requiring ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced CT registry and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed freestanding emergency department licensed under a main hospital campus with no trauma designation
• Department provides 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services; no outpatient imaging available
• Average of 87 ED visits per day with approximately 60 diagnostic and CT studies performed daily
• Patient population is primarily ED-based with limited outpatient cases
• Dual-modality role performing both CT and general diagnostic X-rays, including portable exams
• EMR: Epic (experience required); RIS: Epic Radiant; PACS: Philips iSite
• Equipment includes Siemens Edge CT scanner, Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Shimadzu RadSpeed X-ray, and Shimadzu portable X-ray
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday
• No floating required
• No on-call or call-back requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT and diagnostic radiology
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency performing CT scans and general diagnostic X-rays, including portable studies
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN is required for consideration
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

• Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• This is a weekend-only position; all weekends will be worked
• RTO requests are subject to Resource Team approval
• Ultrasound Technologist is also on staff 24/7
• Black scrubs are required
