Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, Siemens proficiency, and ARRT CT certification for a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting supporting a busy outpatient and ED schedule
• Patient population spans all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Procedures include CT of the abdomen, pelvis, and chest (with and without contrast), vascular chest, carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head, cervical/lumbar/thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Siemens CT equipment required; iPad and Zoom used for interpreter services
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 5x8-hour evening shifts, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• No call requirement
• No float requirement
• Weekend coverage may occasionally be required if a regular weekend tech is unavailable; travelers will receive at least 2 weeks' notice and will be given a compensatory weekday off

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Experience in adult acute care, ICU, and emergency department settings required
• Siemens CT scanner experience required
• Skills required: isolation precautions, preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture
• Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• State license required if applicable
• PACS experience preferred
• Preferred skills include colorectal studies (rectal contrast), cardiac CT, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) techniques
• Preferred special procedures experience includes aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, drainage, and myelography

• Local candidates are accepted
• Orientation is 16 hours and will be scheduled earlier in the day (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM); following orientation, travelers are expected to operate independently but will always have another tech available in the department for support
• Orientation schedule is subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during the first week, as missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start
• Royal blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• RTO is not permitted after booking and may not be arranged on-site; any call-offs or additional time off could result in contract cancellation
• Maximum of 7 days RTO for this assignment
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
