Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position with a focus on IV access, requiring an active NJ or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology and Imaging Services unit
• Primary focus on IV access nursing care including IV insertion, midline, and PICC placement
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (9:00–17:30)
• Charts using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include inserting and managing IVs, midlines, and PICCs per competency, with monitoring for complications and appropriate response
• Must maintain sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance
• Responsible for ensuring emergency equipment readiness and reviewing post-PICC chest x-rays per policy
• Patient and family education is a component of the role

• Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
