Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position with a focus on IV access, requiring an active NJ or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology and Imaging Services unit
- Primary focus on IV access nursing care including IV insertion, midline, and PICC placement
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (9:00–17:30)
- Charts using Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include inserting and managing IVs, midlines, and PICCs per competency, with monitoring for complications and appropriate response
- Must maintain sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance
- Responsible for ensuring emergency equipment readiness and reviewing post-PICC chest x-rays per policy
- Patient and family education is a component of the role
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome to apply
- Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
