Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 18 months to 2 years of IR experience for a 13-week contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Indiana.

Details

  • Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital in an Interventional Radiology unit
  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures for a pediatric through geriatric patient population
  • May be required to scrub into procedures as needed
  • Charting is done in Cerner
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call is required, with approximately 10 call shifts per month including weekend call
  • Weekend call required every 3rd or 4th weekend
  • Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required
  • Free parking on-site

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
  • Current ARRT(R) certification required
  • Current BLS (AHA or RQI) required
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Current Indiana or Compact state license required; pending license acceptable if application has been submitted
  • License required if applicable
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during special exams
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise patient positioning when standard positioning is not possible
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures, following physician instructions, preparing and operating equipment, and correctly positioning patients to capture required diagnostic images
  • May be required to obtain an advanced credential in Interventional Radiology, if applicable
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted for this Allied position
  • Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
  • Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
