Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ year of CT and acute care experience, ARRT(R)(CT) certification, and proficiency in Epic EMR.

Details

• 12-hour shifts with weekend availability required
• 36 hours per week
• Acute care hospital setting
• Performs a full range of diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• BLS certification required (AHA only, must not expire prior to start date)
• Active state license required if applicable — no pending licenses accepted
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Proficiency with CT equipment, imaging protocols, and contrast administration including injector operation
• Familiarity with sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning
• Proficiency with electronic imaging — ability to view, transfer, and manipulate images
• Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates working in the state of Colorado

Additional Information

• Performs CT exams per department protocol, reviews images for quality and accuracy, and ensures all necessary anatomical structures are captured
• Administers contrast media as ordered and provides patient education on contrast safety
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines — radiation badge required and provided
• Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions
• Assists and instructs students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols and positioning
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
