Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position requiring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
36-hour weekly work commitment
Rotating weekends and rotating holidays required
No on-call responsibilities
Self-scheduling available
Floating to Med/Surg required at a 1:7 patient ratio

Requirements

Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant RN experience required
Charge nurse experience preferred
Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
Contract nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside regular patient care duties
Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility
