Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of mammography experience, ARRT registration, and Advanced Mammography Certification for a travel assignment.

Details

• Performs radiographic mammography procedures in a clinical imaging setting
• Advanced mammography procedures include stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages
• Charting performed in Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience required
• ARRT registration required
• Active state Rad Tech license required (license required if applicable)
• ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification required
• Must meet and maintain ACR FDA/MQSA mammography-specific requirements
• Current AHA BLS certification required (must not expire prior to start date)
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to perform lifting, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, and tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs advanced mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages per department protocol
• Responsible for proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams
• Applies radiation protection measures in compliance with ALARA program requirements
• Maintains required documentation including time stamps and image storage per JCAHO standards
• A personal radiation monitoring dosimeter (badge) is required for this assignment; candidates are encouraged to use an existing badge from a prior employer when available
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in the system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
