Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with 3+ years of OB/GYN or vascular ultrasound experience and active ARDMS registration for a 13-week outpatient assignment.

Details

• Outpatient maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) clinic setting
• Specialized maternal-fetal ultrasound unit
• Procedures include detailed anatomical evaluations, complete fetal echocardiograms, growth assessments, fetal wellbeing studies (biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, amniotic fluid assessments), needle procedure guidance, transvaginal cervical assessments, and advanced 3D/4D diagnostic techniques
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience performing complex OB/GYN or vascular ultrasound scans
• Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography / General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program
• Active ARDMS registration in OB and OB/GYN required
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assists the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal-fetal ultrasound
• Provides standardization and training to residents on maternal-fetal ultrasound exams
• Consults with patients to evaluate contraindications prior to procedures, such as medications, insufficient preparation, or patient tolerance concerns
• Analyzes sonography findings throughout each examination to ensure comprehensive data is provided to the physician
• Advises the radiologist and/or referring OB provider of examination results and provides preliminary diagnostic information
• Assists supervising physicians with invasive procedures as required
