Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Washington State, requiring ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification and a Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.

Details

• Position is based in an acute care hospital setting within the Diagnostic Imaging/CT department
• Performs CT exams with and without power contrast injections
• Uses PACS for image archiving and HIS/RIS for patient and image documentation
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM (night shift)
• On-call standby shifts may be assigned as needed by the department

Requirements

• Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification required
• ARRT RT(R)(CT) required
• BLS (HCP level) required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts and contrast media administration
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Frequent/prolonged standing, walking, and patient handling including lifting, positioning, pushing, and transferring patients
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing CT exams, applying appropriate positioning techniques, utilizing automatic exposure control, and following Radiologist protocols
• Accurately documents patient and image data in HIS/RIS and PACS systems
• Administers contrast media and performs IV starts as appropriate
• Monitors patient safety, evaluates mental and physical condition, and ensures safe transport and transfer
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and handles confidential information accordingly
• May serve as a mentor to students from affiliated Radiology Technology Programs
• Facility-specific CT modality orientation will be completed upon assignment
• Up to 24 hours of call-off may be available during the course of the assignment
