Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and night shift availability.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Radiology department
• Unit staffed by Rad Techs (with and without CT experience), Ultrasound Techs, and Mammography Techs — approximately 15 Radiology Techs scheduled per 24 hours
• Patient population includes ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient cases
• Scheduled patients at 1 per hour to allow time for inpatient and ER add-ons
• CT equipment includes Siemens 64-slice and 128-slice scanners
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• 12-hour night shifts; shift start time (7:00 PM or 3:00 AM) may vary based on CT proficiency
• Holiday coverage handled via on-call
• Radiology management team includes a Coordinator, Manager, and Supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required — pending certifications not accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• State of California radiologic technology license required if applicable — active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation length is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on scanner experience
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• OR experience is highly desirable; venipuncture experience is a plus
• Additional certification in Mammography and/or advanced imaging is a plus but not required
• A Fluoroscopy permit is strongly preferred to enable OR and routine fluoroscopy work
• Radiologist is on-site during applicable hours; an on-call radiologist is available when one is not on site
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
