Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Care (IMC) position at a large academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IMC/PCU background.
Details
- Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) within a large academic medical center (500+ bed facility)
- Multi-level care unit serving adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care patients
- Continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced patient monitoring required
- Pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care provided on the unit
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Floating required to areas of like skill set within 11 West (IMC and Med/Surg levels)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
- IMC/PCU experience required with surgical patient population
- Dysrhythmia management experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed facility) required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
- Candidates with prior travel assignments (1–2) are preferred
