Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and proven experience in high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma environments for an evening shift assignment.

Details

• Works in the CT department of a Level 1 trauma center specializing in stroke and burn cases
• Facility operates 3 CT scanners in the emergency care center, 2 for inpatient use, and 1 on the neuro floor used overnight
• GE scanners in use — 2 on an older platform and 5 on the Revolution scanner platform
• Epic EMR is used at this facility
• High-acuity, inner-city trauma environment with complex, diverse, and severe case volume
• 4x10 hour evening shifts, Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active ARRT (CT) certification required
• Current BLS required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale Level 1 trauma environments is required
• Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced clinical situations
• Candidates whose experience is limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• License required if applicable

• Staffing on this unit typically targets 6 CT Techs, though the team may operate with as few as 4 at times
