Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and proven experience in high-volume, high-acuity Level 1 trauma environments for a weekend day shift contract.

Details

• Work in the CT department of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with stroke and burn program capabilities
• Department operates up to 6 CT scanners, including 3 in the Emergency Care Center, 2 for inpatient, and 1 on the neuro floor used overnight
• Scanner fleet includes GE equipment — 2 units on an older platform and 5 units on the Revolution scanner platform
• EMR: Epic
• Friday through Sunday, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• No on-call requirement
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Current BLS required
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale Level 1 trauma environments
• Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases
• Proficiency with GE CT scanners strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across emergency, inpatient, and neuro settings in a fast-paced trauma environment handling complex and critical cases
• Unit staffing typically targets 6 CT Techs but may operate with as few as 4
