Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and proven experience in high-volume, high-acuity Level 1 trauma environments for a weekend day shift contract.
Details
- Work in the CT department of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with stroke and burn program capabilities
- Department operates up to 6 CT scanners, including 3 in the Emergency Care Center, 2 for inpatient, and 1 on the neuro floor used overnight
- Scanner fleet includes GE equipment — 2 units on an older platform and 5 units on the Revolution scanner platform
- EMR: Epic
- Friday through Sunday, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- No on-call requirement
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
Requirements
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Current BLS required
- Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale Level 1 trauma environments
- Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases
- Proficiency with GE CT scanners strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
- Active state license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across emergency, inpatient, and neuro settings in a fast-paced trauma environment handling complex and critical cases
- Unit staffing typically targets 6 CT Techs but may operate with as few as 4
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
