Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU/Med-Surg position requiring an active Michigan RN license and a minimum of 2 years of general Med-Surg experience.

Details

• Work in a Medical ICU unit within a large health system
• Acuity-adaptable unit with potential float to a lockdown unit or a nearby sister hospital
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
• Floating to units of equal or lesser acuity may be required

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of general Med-Surg unit experience required
• At least 1 year of surgical floor experience highly preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Additional Information

• Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed with a passing score onsite, typically one week prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for employment at this facility
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will need to be discussed with managers once the assignment begins
