Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology RN with strong critical care, conscious sedation, and IR procedural experience for a position at a large academic teaching facility.

• Interventional Radiology unit at a large academic teaching facility
• Acute and chronic patient population requiring invasive procedures performed under imaging guidance
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
• Call requirement of at least 1 weekday per week and every 3–4 weekends, with potential for additional call based on department needs
• Epic EMR — experience within the past 12 months is required
• 32-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license required if applicable
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong critical care experience is required
• Demonstrated experience with conscious/moderate sedation — must be reflected in work history
• Interventional radiology procedural experience required
• Experience in a large teaching facility required
• Proficiency with PIV placement and vasoactive drip management
• Epic EMR experience within the past 12 months required — non-negotiable
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references required: at least one from a Nurse Manager or Supervisor within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs invasive procedures under imaging guidance for both acute and chronic patients
• Administers moderate sedation as a core responsibility
• Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those living 51–100 miles away fall under a separate rate tier — distance is measured in a straight line, not by driving distance
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Block schedules are not permitted for any reason
• No time off is available around the start of the assignment without prior approval
