Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down/Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Hospital-based Med-Surg/Step Down unit (7W)
- Traveler will be placed on a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on greatest need and individual skill set
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Floating required within skill set, including to sister sites within 40 miles if needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry acute care experience required
- Candidates with either Med-Surg or Step Down RN background will be considered
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Copy of current certifications and license verification/Nursys required for consideration
Additional Information
- Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates living within the facility's radius may be eligible at a reduced pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
