Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 5+ years of experience for a weekend block schedule position in a busy hospital CT department serving adolescent through geriatric patients.

Details

  • Busy hospital CT department with 3 scanners on-site
  • Wide range of exams including trauma, stroke with perfusion scans, and routine abdomen and pelvis studies
  • Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
  • Weekend block schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • EMR: Epic; also uses Pyxis and Siemens equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of CT technologist experience required
  • Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
  • IV contrast administration skills required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
  • Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
  • No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be considered; the posted shift is firm
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable
  • Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager consideration
