Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 5+ years of experience for a weekend block schedule position in a busy hospital CT department serving adolescent through geriatric patients.

Details

Busy hospital CT department with 3 scanners on-site
Wide range of exams including trauma, stroke with perfusion scans, and routine abdomen and pelvis studies
Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
Weekend block schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
No on-call requirements
EMR: Epic; also uses Pyxis and Siemens equipment

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of CT technologist experience required
Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
IV contrast administration skills required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Local candidates are accepted for this position
RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be considered; the posted shift is firm
Any color scrubs are acceptable
Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager consideration
