Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of Step-Down experience and rotating day/night shifts.

Details

• Work in the Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute (HVTI) Step-Down unit of a large hospital campus
• Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shift assignment may vary based on operational needs of the unit

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Step-Down or a related specialty prior to any travel experience
• Minimum 18 months of recent Step-Down experience required; travel experience is acceptable
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; an acceptable passing score on both is required
• Two professional references are required
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
