Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in an Orthopedic/Neuro Nursing Unit at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a KS or compact RN license and night shift availability.

Details

• 39-bed Orthopedic/Spine Surgery and Trauma unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders), foot/ankle surgeries, amputations, back/spine surgeries, hip fractures, and complex ortho-trauma patients with multi-complex fractures
• Level 1 trauma center environment with complex orthopedic trauma cases
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued
• Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit team consists of RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• NIH Stroke Scale certification and MOAB De-Escalation Training are preferred but not required
• Scrub color requirement: Ceil Blue and White
• Local candidates may be considered, though a radius rule applies that may affect the pay rate depending on distance from the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required
