Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) position in Austin, TX, requiring at least 1 year of recent ED experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) setting with 11 beds
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- Rotating weekends required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to other facility FSEDs is required as needed
- Staffing model includes 1 Charge Nurse Coordinator (CNC) and 1 RN per shift (day and night)
- EMR: Meditech
- Equipment includes ventilators and POC lab machines
- Typical procedures include IV starts and 12-lead EKG/patient assessment
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in the ED specialty
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS, TNCC, CPI (or accepted equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA), and NIH Stroke Certification
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- FSED experience is preferred
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates will be considered
- A team-oriented, inclusive personality is a strong fit for this unit
